So one of the better events near San Francisco for Japanese stuff is J-Pop Summit. It’s one of the best free musical events you could find anywhere. Or at least it *was* one of the best free musical events you could find anywhere before this year where they announced their updated format. The event now costs money and is now spread between a few locations. Whether or not that’s a wise thing is still to be seen (probably not, honestly).

Anyway, they have announced Eir Aoi. She’s been something hot the last few years working on Sword Art Online and Kill la Kill. I’ve met her a couple of times in the past and she’s pretty cool. She now follows the footsteps of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and May’n with her performance at J-Pop Summit’s 2015 event.

J-Pop Summit currently has Eir Aoi and all-female pop band Gacharic Spin as announced acts. More info can be found at www.j-pop.com.
