Slipknot has just released their newest album “We Are Not Your Kind.” I’d be lying if I didn’t say I haven’t been listening to “Unsainted” quite a bit and “All Out Life” has grown on me. “Nero Forte” kind of came out of nowhere and I’m surprised it wasn’t one of the singles. “Spiders” has some funk to it and stood out for me. Finally, “Not Long For This World” was a good way to tie up the album.

There’s a good chunk of songs I enjoyed and a few others that I could do without. Slipknot has evolved over the years to be a little less chaotic and hard as their earlier songs but I think that’s for the better.

I do like how the band plays a lot of the old stuff during their concerts. They know they were built on their older sound and have supplemented it with their newer albums.
