Japanese group Kalafina has officially announced their disbandment. They were effectively sidelined ever since last year when musical genius Yuki Kajiura departed from her long-time label Space Craft Produce to start her own one-woman label and the girls remained where they were.
It’s an unfortunate situation for sure but it was only a matter of time until this happened. Originally having been formed for Kara no Kyoukai it was already unprecedented they’d continue onward for so long. The girls are still going to continue with solo careers and will likely work with Kajiura herself in the future.
