Love them or hate them, DragonForce just keeps on going. Their newest album “Maximum Overload” is released as of now. The name “Maximum Overload” is very fitting for the band as they are known for their playing speed and expect more of the same from this album. I want to say they’ve slowed down a little from some of the songs on “Inhuman Rampage” and “Ultra Beatdown” but still rock out at a healthy clip.
Ironically a couple of the standout moments for me are when they are being as least-DragonForce as possible (in other words, not playing like madmen). That includes the chorus of “The Game” and parts of “Three Hammers.”
