Nightwish has just released the first song off of their new album set to release near the end of March. I would describe it as being very… Nightwishy. It’s not turbo-speed, not completely slow, somewhere in between (but edging more towards slow than fast). It’s kind of a ballad but not really a ballad. The lyrics are whimsical and a little out there.
The single also includes the song “Sagan” which is based on astronomer Carl Sagan. This song is not on the upcoming album so this is the only way to hear it.
It also includes an alternate, more orchestral version of Elan. Might be nice to hear the whole album this way. There is a three-disc version of the album so maybe that’s what is on disc three? One can only hope.
There’s a video and I have no idea what is going on in it.
Endless Forms Most Beautiful releases March 31 in America. Japan gets it first on the 25th with the rest of the world following shortly afterward.
